It's the Little Things in Life....

so i've had this candle for a VERY VERY long time and apparently never paid much attention to it. i looked at it over the weekend and thought - "wow what a cool tattoo that would make". of course i would have to have the $$ to get another one, but regardless....pretty frickin cool tattoo.

money is stressing me out again. gas prices are beyond ridiculous. i should have thought of this before i decided to get another SUV and with all the driving i do, i just can't afford it anymore. my car payment is great, but it's just the gas that i can't handle. i fill up my tank twice a week on the weeks i have the ladybug and atleast once a week on the weeks that i don't. i filled up my tank a few days ago. $58. $58 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i was irritated and discussing with my folks what they thought i should / could do. we came up with a few options - if i sold my car now, i could probably come out right at even. but my dad was thinking of possibly taking over my santa fe and selling his car and getting me something else. which would be fine with me - he doesn't drive that much and the santa fe is REALLY a great vehicle. i absolutely adore it - i just can't afford to be driving it anymore. i am REALLY diggin the toyota prius....

of course i would go for the light green color or tan or silver - along those lines. the 05's and 06's are in my price range, so i think i could do it - plus it's a hybrid, so i'm TOTALLY cool with that. anyway...it's an option, but i need to make a decision and do something quickly before i have to sell my car and ride my bike the millions of miles that i drive a day. ugh.

sorry for the vent. i'm just so tired of living paycheck to paycheck and not able to put anything in savings. i'm striving to get there, but i have to cut some things here and there and starting with the gas situation i think that will help a lot.

had a pretty productive weekend filled with house cleaning all day saturday, soccer on sunday and work that i brought home. that's never too fun, but we are so busy right now, that it was really the only thing to do as opposed to drown early this week.

thanks for reading my post with grumpy undertones this morning my dear readers. hopefully the rest of my posts this week won't be so negative. :-p

both of my brothers work at a car dealership in plano. my brother brian is a sales consultant for them. they work at lexus BUT my brother sells a lot of non-lexus pre-owned vehicles (like honda, volkswagon, toyota, etc). he would give you a great deal (and he wouldn't pressure you, just tell him i told you to contact him). his email:

brian bsafianow@parkplacetexas.com

their website has a few of their preowned vehicles on there and he always has a lot of good deals that aren't on the website:

hmmmm, I would suggest that you follow up on what above dude said. You gotta get out of the suv. Its all about saving the $. I traded in my gas guzzler a year and half ago for a dodge caliber that gets 32 mpg and I am pretty damn stoked about it.

Looks like it could be a cool tat . . . where would you put it?

And while you're at it, your mention of "another one" suggests that you have some already . . .

Do tell, and give us pics, if you dare . . . what are they? And where?

I've got four at present . . . upper arms and lower legs . . . Grateful Dead "Steal Your Face" with some interesting twists, a tribal design, the Japanese kanji symbols for family and love, and Bob Marley, in memory of my brother . . .

Finally . . . though my dream has always been a Jeep Wrangler, I've driven Honda Civics my entire adulthood, along with one Subaru Justy . . . I've known nothing but good gas mileage . . .

Still, I wouldn't mind getting a hybrid Sport SUV, throw a futon in the back, and go anywhere the four winds blow me . . .

Namaste . . . gotta work . . .
